Hey There, Steve from Raiken Profit. I've had an amazing experience with Amazon FBA.
Last year, I've managed to make over $300,000 in sales through Retail and Online Arbitrage.
Today I am gonna share the best items to sell on Amazon FBA for beginners. Keep reading!
It's been quite a ride! If you're just starting out, I've got some hot tips for you on the best Amazon FBA products and categories to dive into, especially for beginners.
These aren't just any random picks; they're beginner-friendly, low-risk, and won't break your bank.
So, let's jump right in and get you started on your Amazon journey!
1. Books: The Gateway to Amazon Selling
Books, my friends, are among the most selling products on Amazon and the perfect entry point for your Amazon FBA journey.
They come with a trio of advantages: affordability, widespread availability, and jaw-dropping profit margins.
So book is for sure one of the best items to sell on Amazon FBA for beginners!
One of the reasons why I love recommending that most people start out with books is because they’re dirt cheap, most people think that they are not very valuable, they’re easy to ship, and profit margins are extremely high.
They’re also easy to source, as they’re available everywhere. Goodwill, Savers, Salvation Army, garage sales, flea markets, thrift stores, auctions, and many other places.
There's an abundance of opportunities out there, just waiting for you to dive in and start your book-selling journey.
I've had the pleasure of guiding hundreds of thousands of people, just like you, to kickstart their very own book business.
And here's the exciting part – I've made a comprehensive, free five-day workshop tailored to your needs.
This workshop will equip you with the skills and knowledge to turn the pages of those books into pure profit.
So why wait? Dive into the world of bookselling, and let's begin this exciting journey together!

2. DVDs: Your Next Step in Media Selling
Next up, among the best FBA products, my second recommendation is diving into the world of DVDs.
It's like taking that next step on the Amazon FBA ladder, and let me tell you, it's a game-changer.
Now, I get it – many folks steer clear of DVDs, one of the Amazon-restricted categories, because they're gated, and you know what people think?
They think it's as complicated as rocket science, or you need to be some kind of Amazon wizard or spend hundreds of thousands of dollars to get ungated. But guess what?
It's a golden opportunity waiting for you across all Amazon categories.
I'm talking about selling DVDs, both new and used. I'll share insights on how to source products to sell on Amazon, drawing from my varied sources. eBay, thrift stores, auctions, you name it.
But here's the real kicker – estate sales. Oh boy, I've struck gold at estate sales with DVDs.
So, here's the deal: you can ungate yourself in this category with a breeze. Just buy ten of a certain item from a distributor I'll spill the beans on in a free resource.
Make sure that the item's ASIN is already kicking it on Amazon, download the distributor's invoice, and send it over to Amazon.
They'll open the gates to this category just for you.
It's that simple, my friend.
Don't miss out on this opportunity to broaden your Amazon horizons with DVDs.
It's the perfect next step to level up your FBA game.

3. CDs: The Underrated Gem
Now, here's another gem you don't want to miss: CDs.
They're like the missing puzzle piece, right alongside DVDs, and they open up a world of opportunities.
In 2022, I made a splash by selling a whopping 5,000 DVDs.
But you know what's still on my radar in 2024? You guessed it – CDs! I'm still all in, and here's why you should be too.
Most folks out there can't sell CDs because they're gated, but not us. I see a golden opportunity here, and I'm all about seizing it.
Picture this – CDs and DVDs with a Sales Rank below a hundred thousand.
The profit margins are sky-high, and with efficient FBA shipping, they're a breeze to send to Amazon.
These items can flip faster than a pancake in a hot skillet, and trust me, I've cashed in on them big time.
So, if you're looking for that perfect stepping stone from books to DVDs to CDs, this is it.
Don't wait, dive into the world of CDs, and let's keep those profits rolling!
4. Board Games: Fun and Profitable
Let's talk about my fourth pick – board games.
This is also one of the best items to sell on Amazon FBA for beginners.
Man, I can't stress this enough; board games are a goldmine.
They're like a hot knife through butter when it comes to flipping and the profit margins? Oh, they're off the charts.
I mainly deal in new board games, but here's the kicker – you can totally cash in on used ones, too.
The catch is you'll have to list them as "collectible" on Amazon.
Beats me why they make us do that, but hey, it works.
I've personally moved hundreds of used board games, and here's the deal – you've got to be thorough.
Check every nook and cranny, make sure all the pieces are in place, and you're good to go.
Just like with Lego items, I've got a thing for selling Legos, mostly new ones, especially the sealed ones.
But let's get back to board games.
Some of these bad boys, especially if they're discontinued or a few years old, can fetch you anywhere from $60 to $150.
As for the Sales Rank, I like to keep these under 300,000. It's all about finding the sweet spot in FBA products and making those sales roll in.
Now, if you're hungry for more tips and tricks on flipping board games on Amazon, just give me a shout.
I'll whip up some more content to keep you in the loop.
5. Video Games: Play Your Way to Profits
Now, let's dive into the world of video games – the cherry on top of the toy and video games category.
Video games, being some of the most selling items on Amazon, are an absolute blast to sell.
I've got a soft spot for classics like PS2 games, Xbox, PS3, Xbox 360. And you know what? I've even dabbled in Sega Genesis, the good old days.
But it's not just the oldies that get my attention; I've also sold my fair share of newer video games like Nintendo 64.
Now, here's the deal. When you're dealing with vintage games, it's like navigating a treasure hunt.
But watch out for those tricky ones, like Pokemon or Game Boy games, that can sometimes be...well, let's just say not the real deal.
They're like the impostors in the gaming world, so be extra cautious and make sure you're getting the real deal.
Just like with DVDs, some video games are bootlegs, so a quick Google search can save the day.
As for me, I've played it safe with PS2 games, Xbox, Xbox 360, and even dipped my toes into computer games.
I stick to games with a Sales Rank under 40,000 in the video game category.
